DUBAI – Abu Dhabi has strengthened its tourism ties with India through nine new joint marketing partnerships aimed at bringing 75,500 additional visitors to the emirate.

The agreements were signed by the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) with leading Indian travel companies at Arabian Travel Market (ATM).

India remains Abu Dhabi’s largest overseas source market, with visitor numbers continuing to grow in 2026.

Major deals

The largest partnership is with MakeMyTrip, which will target 37,500 visitors to Abu Dhabi over 18 months. Thrillophilia will promote the emirate to 11,000 visitors, while Akbar Holidays will target another 10,000 over the same period.

DCT Abu Dhabi has also signed one-year agreements with RezLive for 3,500 visitors, Utazzo Holidays for 3,500, Holiday Tribe for 3,000, TravClan for 2,500, Pickyourtrail for 2,500 and GNRconnect.com for 2,000.

The partnerships are designed to further promote Abu Dhabi in India, with the emirate being showcased at ATM as a destination offering experiences spanning arts, culture, cuisine, entertainment and shopping.

India accounted for 13% of Abu Dhabi’s hotel guests in 2025, with the number reaching 436,124, a 22% increase compared with the previous year. The country was Abu Dhabi’s number one overseas source market in 2025 and has continued to be a key market in 2026.

DCT Abu Dhabi said growing airline connectivity, the emirate’s proximity to major global events and annual attractions such as the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix are among the factors supporting demand from India.

Marketing activity has also focused on major occasions including Diwali and Eid. An ambassador campaign featuring Indian celebrity couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone has further supported Abu Dhabi’s outreach in the market.
